Spotlight on the Leeward Islands

At last, an alternative to sailing catamaran mini-cruises… After a few years of rest, we are excited to announce that the Haumana  – or “Spirit of Peace” – is heading back to sea!
A vessel with a small capacity, refurbished & redecorated, with just 12 cabins for a maximum 26 passengers, from March to December it will offer 4Day/3Night Cruises to Bora Bora – Tahaa – Raiatea and the reverse, with the main focus on Polynesian Experience: bilingual staff speaking

English/French at a minimum, 100% local atmosphere and activities, such as dance, music, weaving, visit to a vanilla farm, a pearl farm, etc.

Fine food on board, served by a selection of wine, but also a Barbecue Lunch on a private beach, a Polynesian dinner-show ashore, and the much appreciated breakfast “feet in the water” so dear to Haumana Cruises. Find all the details HERE.

As a pre- or post-cruise on Raiatea, check out Villa Ixora, the latest adventure by Laure & Terence, the former managers of a high-end boutique hotel on Tahaa. Now established on Raiatea, they have taken over a modest pension, which they have fully remodeled in a contemporary, cozy style.
4 warm, well-appointed mid-range bungalows, with 3 Garden units & 1 Lagoon unit, located 10 minutes from the airport, and just 5 minutes from Uturoa pier.
As for your taste buds, Terence gives free rein to his creativity and offers gourmet French cuisine in the lovely setting of a covered patio overlooking the swimming pool. Also open to outside customers, this is one additional great dining spot to discover on the Sacred Island… so if you are just passing through or staying for a while, do not hesitate to visit them!
